In Manchester, the police have launched an investigation into the murder of a businessman named Omar Allen, 43. He was shot and killed in the Banana Ground District early Saturday morning, May 10, 2025. Reports indicate that Allen was at a shop in the community around 4:00 a.m. when unknown assailants opened fire on him. On the same day, armed men shot two individuals on Maiden Street in Eastern Kingston, resulting in one fatality. The deceased was identified as Akeem Samuels, 29, a handyman and resident of Maiden Street. Additionally, on Sunday, May 10, 2025, a man was shot and killed along Brooks Level Road in Stony Hill, St. Andrew, around 1:30 p.m. The police have not yet released the identity of the deceased. Preliminary reports from residents suggest that the unidentified man was a local resident who operated a public passenger vehicle.
