Authorities identified the deceased as Javon "Bossy" Basceosingh, 30, from Homestead, Spanish Town, St. Catherine. The second fatal shootings occurred in Kingston, Jamaica — On Tuesday, May 13, 2025, police fatally wounded a suspect. The suspect allegedly held a man hostage while fleeing. He was also pointing a gun at officers. The authorities identified the deceased as 48-year-old Lebert Bailey, a construction worker from Rosemount Avenue in Kingston.
