St. Andrew Crime Report. Police responded to Berwick Road in St. Andrew Monday night, where unknown assailants shot two men, one fatally.
Law enforcement identified the deceased as Mark Forrester, o/c ‘Hooka,’ 51, of a Berwick Road address.
The injured man, 48, a resident of Spanish Town, is in the hospital.
According to reports, at about 10:20 p.m., residents heard explosions along the roadway and summoned the police.
Upon arrival, officers found two men suffering from gunshot wounds.
The authorities assisted the victims to the Kingston Public Hospital, where officials pronounced Forrester dead and admitted the other victim.
Investigators have yet to establish a motive for the shooting.
The Hunts Bay Criminal Investigation Branch. is probing the case.
Attempted Robbery in St. Andrew Leaves One Dead
St. Andrew Crime Report. A licensed firearm holder is hospitalized, and an alleged armed robber is dead following an attempted robbery near Newport West in St Andrew Monday night.
Police reported that a licensed firearm holder was driving along the roadway when men in a car attempted to rob him.
The police said the firearm holder bravely challenged the men, and an exchange of gunfire reportedly ensued.
Reportedly, during the exchange of gunfire, the licensed firearm holder was injured along with one of the assailants.
The injured gunman’s accomplices fled the scene.
Law enforcement responded and assisted the injured men to the Kingston Public Hospital, where the unidentified man was pronounced dead.
The Hunts Bay Criminal Investigation Branch is probing the matter.
Taxi Operator Charged with Vehicle Theft in St. Andrew
St. Andrew Crime Report. Police arrested and charged a taxi operator after he allegedly stole a vehicle from a parking lot on Constant Spring Road in St Andrew on October 17.

The authorities identified the accused as Jermain Knight, 30, from Long Lane, Kingston 8.
Detectives from the Half Way Tree CIB charged Knight with larceny of a motor vehicle.
According to a report from the Half Way Tree police, between 2:40 p.m. and 5 p.m., the accused
allegedly stole one Nissan AD Wagon motor car from the parking lot.
The police later apprehended Knight during an operation. They formally charged him after a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney.
Knight’s court appearance date is pending.
