Crimes And Criminals News Report from Jamaica. Police charged a Manchester farmer with double murder after he allegedly shot and killed two people at a bar in Manchester. The police said the tragic murders occurred on July 13, 2024, in Big Wood, Craighead district in Manchester.
Police identified the victims as Tenesha Burton, 35, a businesswoman, and Wilford Mollison, 74. Both victims are from the Craighead district in Manchester.
Investigators identified the accused as Jowayne Williams, o/c ‘Dangles,’ 23, from Pike district, Christiana, in Manchester.
In addition to murder, Williams faces charges of possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorized possession of ammunition, wounding with intent, and using a firearm to commit a felony.
According to the allegations, on July 13, 2024, at about 10:10 p.m., a woman and two male customers were at her bar in Big Wood district.
Posing as a customer, Williams entered the premises and brandished a firearm.
He reportedly opened gunfire, hitting all three persons before escaping in the area.
The police responded and swiftly transported the injured persons to the hospital.
Upon arrival, hospital officials pronounced the female and one of the two men dead and admitted the other victim.
Law enforcement arrested and charged Williams on Friday, November 29, 2024. His court appearance date is pending.
Arrest Made in Portland Inmate Murder Case

The accused, Malik Lewis, age 22, is a baker from White River, Buff Bay, in Portland.
Law enforcement charged Lewis with the murder of 57-year-old Patrick Perry, a farmer of Long Bay in Portland.
According to the Port Antonio police, on Friday, September 20, 2024, at about 10:05 a.m. Perry was in lock-up at the station.
A commotion broke out on the cell block. Officers on cell guard duty rushed to the location, where they found Perry unresponsive.
The police swiftly transported Perry to the hospital, where the authorities admitted him in critical condition.
On September 29, Perry succumbed to his injuries.
The police charged Lewis with murder on November 21 after a question–and–answer session in the presence of his attorney.
His court date is pending.
Gun Seizure Leads to Arrests in Golden Spring

The police took the men into custody on suspicion of gun and ammo possession. Law enforcement withheld the names of the suspects pending further investigation.
