Businessman Murdered in Manchester
Fatal Shooting Spiked In Jamaica Over the Weekend. Police in Manchester, Jamaica, have started investigations into the murder of a businessman. He was shot and killed in the Banana Ground District early Saturday morning, May 10, 2025.
Cops identified the victim of the fatal shooting as Omar Allen, 43, a resident of the Banana Ground district in Manchester.
According to reports, Allen was at a shop in the community at about 4:00 a.m. when unknown persons opened fire on him.
Concerned citizens rushed him to the Mandeville Regional Hospital, where the authorities pronounced him dead.
Later, the scene of crime cops visited and processed the scene. But they have yet to prove a motive for the killing.
Detectives from the Mandeville CIB are leading the investigations. They urged anyone with information to contact the Mandeville police.
Fatal Shooting in Kingston: Two Shot, One Dead
On Saturday morning, May 10, 2025, armed men allegedly shot two persons, one fatally, on Maiden Street in Eastern Kingston.
Police identified the deceased as Akeem Samuels, 29, a handyman and resident of Maiden Street.
According to the police, at about 9:00 a.m., Samuels and the other man were standing on Maiden Street. While there, a motor car pulled up beside them.
Moments later, the occupants in the car allegedly opened fire on the men and sped away.
Residents quickly transported the injured men to Kingston Public Hospital, where the authorities pronounced Samuels dead and admitted the other.
The injured man remains in the hospital with gunshot wounds.
Investigators from the Elletson Road Criminal Investigation Branch are leading the investigation into the fatal shooting case.
The police have yet to prove a motive for the attack.
Stony Hill Fatal Shooting: Victim unidentified
A man was shot and killed along Brooks Level Road in Stony Hill, St. Andrew, on Sunday, May 10, 2025.
Police said the incident occurred at about 1:30 p.m. They have yet to release the identity of the deceased.
According to preliminary reports from residents, the unidentified man was a resident of a nearby community. He operated a public passenger vehicle.
Residents heard gunshots and alerted the police.
The police transported the wounded man to a hospital, where the authorities pronounced him dead.
