Violent Crime : Updates on Ferrigon, Dilworth, and Bell. A post-mortem examination of Kelsey Ferrigon, a student at St John’s Primary School, has revealed that she died by strangulation.
The post-mortem was postponed and originally scheduled for Friday, May 16, 2025. It was conducted on Saturday at the House of Tranquility Funeral Home in Kingston. The change was due to administrative issues.
A report published in The Gleaner on Saturday, May 17, 2025, revealed the findings of the post-mortem. It confirmed that someone raped Kelsey. And the coroner found hair strands from her alleged killer, Giovanni Ellis, on her body.
She also had bruises and lacerations all over her body
Ellis allegedly murdered Kelsey, a third-grade student, on May 9. Family members discovered her body inside a barrel at her home on Job Lane in Spanish Town, St. Catherine. It was partially nude and showed signs of physical abuse.
The police killed thirty-year-old Ellis, also known as “Coolie Man,” during an alleged shootout in Clarendon on May 12.
At the time of his death, Ellis was out on bail for a case involving child cruelty.
Police charged a St. Andrew man with violent crimes after social media video goes viral
Police in St. Andrew charged a 65-year-old businessman with multiple offenses. This happened after a viral video allegedly shows him attacking a nurse during a violent road rage incident.

The police identified the accused as Robert Bell, who resides in St. Andrew.
Bell faces several charges. These include assault occasioning bodily harm, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and common law assault. He is also charged with possessing a firearm with the intent to commit a first schedule offense. Additionally, he is charged with possession of a firearm with the intent to cause injury.
The authorities charged Bell on Saturday, May, 17, 2025..
Law enforcement reported that around 7:15 p.m. A nurse was driving to work. A Mercedes driven by Bell blocked her path. This led to a dispute between the two, which escalated into a physical assault.
An armature video of the incident went viral on social media Thursday night. It showed Bell violently attacking the nurse, including stomping on her head.
The nurse filed a criminal report with the police, which led them to arrest and and charge Bell.
Besides, the police confiscated Bell’s firearm. His court date is pending.
The police have yet to confirm whether body found belongs to missing UTech student found.
A body believed to be that of missing University of Technology, Jamaica (UTech) student, 20-year-old Anisa Dilworth, has been found.
Violent Crime. The body was reportedly found Saturday afternoon in Portmore, St Catherine.
Superintendent Leighton Grey is the commanding officer for St Catherine South. He stated that he could not confirm whether the body found by the police belonged to Dilworth.
Dilworth went missing on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.
The police arrested an inDrive taxi operator on Saturday, May 10 in connection with the case. But, they have yet to file charges. The suspect continues to answer questions from investigators.
