Cops Charged Mandela Highway Robber and Murder Suspect. On Wednesday, July 2, 2025, cops in St. Catherine, Jamaica, charged a suspect with the alleged robbery and fatal shooting that occurred along the St. Catherine section of the Mandela Highway on June 11. Authorities identified the suspect as Nicholas Bhalai, o/c, 'Coolie Bap,' 24, a laborer of Ferry, district, in St Catherine, Jamaica.

Crimes And Violence: Trelawny, Westmoreland, And St. James. In Westmoreland, Jamaica, the Grange Hill police charged a farmer. He allegedly fatally shot a fellow farmer in Grange Hill on March 14, 2025.

The police identified the accused as Shawn Williams, o/c ‘Chang,’ age 38, a resident of Grange Hill in Westmoreland.

Law enforcement charged Williams with the murder of Frank Dellop, o/c ‘Rasta,’ 54, a farmer from Grange Hill. The police also charged Williams with possession of a prohibited weapon and other firearm-related offenses.

According to the police reports, on Friday, March 14, at about 7:45 p.m., Dellop was standing along the Grange Hill main road.

While standing along the Grange Hill main road, a man reportedly approached him and opened gunfire, hitting him.

Law enforcement responded and found Dellop with gunshot wounds to his upper body.

The officers rushed him to the hospital. Unfortunately, it was too late; hospital officials pronounced him dead.

Investigators launched an investigation, which led them to arrest Williams. Detectives later charged him on March 21, 2025, after a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney.

His court appearance date is pending.

Police in Trelawny charged two suspects with firearm-related offenses. This was after a robbery at Coral Springs in Trelawny. The incident occurred on Tuesday, March 18, 2025.

Investigators identified the accused. The first is Dennis Lee, 62, a truck driver and business owner from Stewart Town in Trelawny. The second is Kenneth Earle, 60, a driver from Carey Park in Trelawny.

The police charged the accused with possession of a prohibited weapon and using a prohibited weapon to commit a felony. Additionally, they charged the accused with robbery.

According to the Duncans police, between 11:04 a.m. and 12:10 p.m., the complainant was unwinding in a spring at Coral Springs.

While there, Lee and Earle allegedly approached him. They threatened to post nude pictures of him on social media. They would do this if he did not get out of the water.

The complainant refused, and Lee reportedly used his licensed firearm and threatened the complainant.

Crimes And Violence. Law enforcement said the complainant attempted to use his cellular phone. He wanted to call the police, but Lee took the phone from him.

The complainant fled the scene and later reported the matter to the police.

Law enforcement launched an investigation. They later arrested and charged Lee and Earle.

Their court date is pending.

The Adelphi police in St. James, Jamaica, charged a 14-year-old boy with house-breaking and larceny. This happened after he allegedly broke into the complainant’s home. The incident took place in Yorkland, Somerton, in St James on Saturday, February 8, 2025.

Crimes And Violence. According to Adelphi Police, at about 12:50 p.m. on February 8, a family securely locked up their house and left.

Later in the day, a family member received a notification on their cell phone. It was from the CCTV camera system at the house.

She viewed the cameras and reportedly saw the 14-year-old boy inside one of the bedrooms, ransacking the place.

The family hurried home. They found the washroom door opened at the back of the house. Additionally, $7,000 in cash was missing.

Crimes And Violence. They filed a report at the Adelphi police station, and law enforcement launched an investigation.     

On Friday, March 21, 2025, citizens handed the teen to the police.

The police later arrested and charged the teen after a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney.

His court date is pending.
