A police constable based in St. Catherine has been reported missing after failing to return home from a visit to his girlfriend. He also did not report for duty over the weekend.
Law enforcement officials have identified the missing officer as Constable Kevin Williams. He is assigned to the Waterford Police Station and resides in Cumberland, Portmore, St. Catherine.
Preliminary reports indicate that Williams left his home to visit his girlfriend on Johns Road in Spanish Town. However, he did not return. Also, he did bot report for duty at the Waterford Police Station at 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 18.
As a result, concerned relatives reported Williams missing at the Caymanas Police Station in St. Catherine on Sunday, July 19. This was after they made several efforts to contact him. Repeated calls to his cellphone have gone unanswered since Saturday.
According to the Jamaica Gleaner, a colleague of Constable Williams had high praise for him, stating, “He’s humble, jovial, and always ready for duty. He’s basically a reserved kind of guy, dependable.”
The police have begun searching for the missing constable, and investigations into his disappearance are continuing.

Two men emerged from the vehicle, unfortunately taking a bag that contained approximately $100,000 before making their escape.
