Patrick City shooting leaves two dead and one injured
Recent Gun Crimes: Patrick City And Lawrence Tavern. Police in St Andrew reported an incident that occurred on Thursday, March 6, 2025. A lone assailant fatally shot two men. The assailant also injured another man in Patrick City.
Investigators identified the deceased as Raheem Nelson, 29, a taxi operator, and Keith Donaldson, o/c ‘Ship,’ 34, a business operator.
Recent Gun Crime. The Duhaney Park police report that the shooting unfolded at about 7:45 p.m.
Nelson and Donaldson sat along the roadway near Conway Drive and Abberville Avenue. Moments later, a lone individual approached them and brandished a firearm.
After a short conversation, the gunman reportedly opened fire on the men before escaping on foot in the area.
The police responded and transported the injured men to the hospital. While at the hospital, Nelson and Donaldson succumbed to their injuries.
Recent Gun Crime. Since the beginning of the year, the St. Andrew South Police Division has recorded 19 murders. This figure is one more than during the same period last year.
Jamaica recorded 117 murders in the first two months of 2025. This represents a 35 percent decrease. It equates to 63 fewer murders than the same period last year, according to the latest police data.

Recent Gun Crime. On Thursday, March 6, 2025, the St. Andrew North PD detectives charged a suspect. He allegedly threatened them with a gun while they were trying to apprehend him. This occurred in connection with a shooting.

Law enforcement identified the accused as Kemal Kelly, 25, of Mannings Hill district, St Andrew.
The police charged Kelly with assault at common law and using a firearm to commit a scheduled offense.
Recent Gun Crime. Additionally, investigators said the shooting incident that Kelly was involved in occurred in his community on Thursday, February 27.
Lawrence Tavern police reported that on March 5, 2025, at approximately 11:55 a.m., a team of officers patrolled the community and spotted Kelly in a taxi. Kelly is a suspect in an ongoing case.
The police reportedly signaled the taxi driver to stop, and he complied. Then, they instructed the occupants to exit the vehicle.
Recent Gun Crimes. According to the police, upon exiting the vehicle, Kelly pulled a revolver from his waistband and pointed it at them.
The cops reportedly took evasive action and opened gunfire in his direction, but he managed to escape.
The police later captured Kelly during an operation at a house in Lawrence Tavern.
They formally charged him on Thursday, March 06, after a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney.
Kelly’s court appearance date is pending.
