Three Women Charged in Gruesome Digicel Worker Death. Detectives assigned to the Kingston Western Division in Jamaica have charged three women. This is in connection with the murder of a Digicel employee. The cops found the employee’s body in a barrel in February.

Authorities identified the three women charged. The first is Anita Vanzie, 30, from Mark Lane in Kingston. The second is Shaday Bennett, 29, from Oxford Street in Kingston. The third is Joanna ‘Birdy’ Williams, 36, also from Oxford Street in Kingston.

The deceased, Kevin Walker, 43, was a resident of Antrim Road in Vineyard Town, Kingston 3. He worked as a sales administrator at Digicel Jamaica.

Law enforcement charged the women with several crimes. These include murder, conspiracy to murder, and simple larceny. They were also charged with being a part of a criminal organization. Providing benefit to such an organization and misprision of felony were also among the charges. Additionally, they faced charges of accessory before the fact, accessory after the fact, and preventing the lawful burial of a corpse.

Also, the authorities stated that aside from the three women charged, other persons are in custody in connection with the murder. The investigation is ongoing.

Three Women Charged in Gruesome Digicel Worker Death. Detectives assigned to the Kingston Western Division in Jamaica have charged three women with the murder of Kevin walker after finding his body in a blue plastic barrel.

According to media reports, on February 1, at about 10:00 a.m., Walker left home. He connected with a group of women, who lured him into a premises in the Hannah Town community.

While there, three men reportedly attacked him.

The men allegedly robbed him of his debit and credit cards. They forced him to give up his Personal Identification Number (PIN) and online banking information. He complied with their demands.

Shortly afterward, police said two women went to an ATM at Cross Roads, St Andrew. They withdrew money from Walker’s card, returned to the premises, and shared it among the group.

Then, they reportedly bound, beat, and stabbed Walker to death.

At approximately 11:50 pm that same day, the criminals placed Walker’s body in a barrel. They disposed of it on Industrial Terrace.

Walker’s family filed a missing person report at the Vineyard Town Police Station on Sunday, February 2, 2025.

Law enforcement found Walker’s body the next day. But they didn’t identify it. This was because of its advanced stage of decomposition.

On February 16, 2025, the authorities identified Walker’s body. A postmortem concluded that death was a result of “deep throat cutting.”

Before that, police reported that extensive investigations prompted a targeted operation on Mark Lane on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. During this time, they apprehended Vanzie and found one of the bank cards in her possession.

Subsequent operations resulted in the police arresting the two other women and recovering the remaining bank cards.

Three women charged. The police charged the three women after a ruling from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP).

Assistant Commissioner of Police Michael Phipps praised those involved in the investigation of the murder.
