Hanover–Jamaica. Detectives in Hanover are searching for clues into the murder of two workers at a construction site in the Crawl district, Green Island, on Tuesday morning, March 28, 2023.
According to preliminary reports, at about 4:30 am, the men were ambushed and shot multiple times by unknown assailants.
Residents in the community heard several loud explosions and summoned the police. And upon arrival, the police found both men suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The police transported them to Noel Holmes Hospital in Lucea, where a doctor pronounced the men dead.
Investigators say they have not yet gotten the identities of both deceased, who are said to be construction workers from Clarendon addresses.
The police have launched a full-scale investigation.

The police in the parish placed two men into custody Tuesday morning, March 28, 2023, following the seizure of a prohibited firearm and ammunition.
According to the Brown’s Town police, the men are being held on suspicion of being in possession of a prohibited firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.
The police said on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at about 5:00 am, a police team, acting on information and armed with a search warrant, went to specific premises located in Lincoln District, Brown’s Town, St Ann. And during the search, the police found a .38 revolver loaded with six cartridges atop a piece of furniture.
The police said they took the male in the house into custody, pending further investigation.
