Kingston Eastern cops have identified victims in the husband and wife suicide/double murder inside a vehicle on Windward Road in Kingston on Saturday night, August 05, 2023.
The police identified the deceased as Heather Moysten, age 59, an administrator at Digicel Jamaica, and her husband, Wesley Moyston, age 41, both of a Smokey Vale, St Andrew address.
According to early reports, on Saturday night, August 5, the couple traveled in a white Toyota Honda motor vehicle driven by Heather along Windward Road.
Upon reaching a traffic light, the vehicle came to a halt, and shortly after, other road users’ heard loud explosions.
Passers-by summoned the police after they noticed that the car did not move.
The police say, upon arriving at the scene, they found a woman slumped in the driver’s seat with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the left side of the head, and the man slumped in the left front passenger seat with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the head.
The police transported both victims to the hospital, where the authorities pronounced the man dead on arrival, and the woman later succumbed to her injuries.
The police found a firearm with a magazine containing eighteen 9mm rounds in the car.
