Police Raid Uncovers Gun and Drug Operation Operated from Jamaican Food Truck.

Law enforcement authorities in New York have hailed what they claim to be one of the most significant gun busts in the history of Orange County. Dozens of guns and drugs were seized by US authorities from a Jamaican food truck.

According to reports from the US, law enforcement discovered the guns and drugs being offered for sale from a food truck in Newburgh, Orange County.

On Wednesday, May 29, 2024, the authorities announced that they had arrested 32 individuals and confiscated dozens of guns, as well as several kilos of cocaine and fentanyl.

The officers also seized the Real Spice food truck and apprehended its owner, Kirkland Salmon, a 42-year-old Jamaican national.

Reportedly, the authorities made the seizure on May 21, 2024, following a six-month-long investigation.

The Orange County police stated that the culprits distributed the guns and drugs within 150 feet of the city courthouse.

According to the police, the gun and drug trafficking operation was a sophisticated four-tier system. The guns originated from North Carolina, while the drugs, predominantly cocaine, came from Florida.

Prosecutors verified that a barbershop served as a stash house for some of the proceeds, estimating the enterprise’s annual earnings to be over US $3 million.

Nearly 40 law enforcement agencies collaborated in the investigation, including the ATF and NYPD, which deployed undercover officers to make purchases.

One observer vividly recalled witnessing the car airborne, followed by the emergence of an unharmed woman who swiftly fled the scene.

Another witness remarked, “She is incredibly fortunate.” Both airbags had deployed in their account, and the woman emerged without a scratch.

Detectives in Spanish Town, St. Catherine, have initiated an investigation into the death of a male whose body residents stumbled upon in De La Vega City, Spanish Town, on Friday, May 31, 2024.

The authorities identified the deceased as Gregory Lawson, o/c ‘Twinny’, age 30, of De La Vega City.

According to reports, at about 10:15 a.m., residents in De La Vega City stumbled upon Lawson’s body in the vicinity of a bar and alerted the authorities.

Lawson had what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the face. Law enforcement officers transported him to the Spanish Town Hospital, where the authorities certified him dead.
