Constable Patrick Walters Got Indicted For D’Jonnay’s Murder. Police in St. Mary, Jamaica, charged a police constable with multiple felonies including murder after he allegedly fatally wounded his girlfriend. The tragic shooting unfolded during a domestic dispute on June 25, 2025, in Richmond, St. Mary.
The victim, D’Jonnay Graham, was an assistant teacher.
According to the police, they charged the accused constable, Patrick Walters, 22, on Monday, July 21, 2025.
The charges were brought after the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) ruled that Constable Patrick Walters had acted unlawfully. As a result, he is liable for murder and using a firearm to commit a felony.
A police report indicates that at approximately 9:15 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25, the couple was at Graham’s residence in Richmond, St Mary.
The couple had a disagreement that turned into a fight. During the fight, Constable Patrick Walters allegedly used his service revolver to shoot D’Jonnay Graham. Then he turned the gun on himself.
Law enforcement responded. Upon their arrival, they found Constable Walters and Graham suffering from gunshot wounds.
The police swiftly transported both victims to the hospital, where the authorities pronounced Graham DOA and admitted Walters.
The next day, investigators submitted a file to the DPP, who instructed law enforcement to charge Walters.
Detectives charged Patrick Walters upon his release from the hospital.
