MONTEGO BAY, ST JAMES, JAMAICA–The law enforcement authorities in St. James confirmed the capture of Lorenzo Walters, alias ‘Larry,’ who was listed by the St. James police as wanted for a double murder and wounding with intent.
The police captured Walters on Sunday, October 29, 2023, during an operation between 4:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m.
According to the police, a team of law enforcement officers searched a premises occupied by Walters’ 26-year-old sister, where they apprehended Walters and his sister without incident.
The police said they seized six letter-sized sheets of paper, three notebooks containing identity information, eight cellular phones, and one tablet at the premises.
The suspect’s court appearance date is pending.

The police have shot and killed a man who allegedly cut a woman’s throat with a knife and attacked a policeman in the Bendon district of St. Catherine on Sunday.
According to reports, at about 11:30 a.m., the police responded to a domestic dispute involving a man and a woman in the community.
Upon arrival, the officer observed a woman with a wound on her throat, and her partner armed with a knife on the veranda.
The police ordered the suspect to drop the knife, but instead, he allegedly attacked the officer. The officer took evasive action and fired his service revolver, hitting the suspect.
The police transported the injured woman and the suspect to the hospital, where the authorities pronounced the suspect dead and admitted the woman for treatment.
The Independent Commission of Investigations has launched a probe into the matter.
The partially decomposed body of a woman was found in Trelawny.
FALMOUTH, TRELAWNY, Jamaica – Police in Trelawny on Saturday, October 28, 2023 responded to a call in Falmouth where residents stumbled upon a partially decomposed, unidentified body of a female.
The police believed the victim was disposed of elsewhere and dumped at the location where residents found the body.
According to reports, residents discovered the partially decayed body in bushes near Foreshore Road in Falmouth, Trelawny, and alerted the police.
The police processed the scene and removed the body to the morgue.
The investigation now awaits forensic results to determine the identity of the partially decomposed female body.
