Deadly Stoplight Gun Attack Left One Dead And One Injured. In St. Andrew, Jamaica, gunmen traveling on a motorcycle fatally wounded a motorist. This incident occurred at the busy intersection of Molynes Road and Washington Boulevard. It happened on Monday morning, March 24, 2025.
Law enforcement identified the deceased as Whitlif Riley, otherwise called Shane. He was 29 and a mechanic from Rosewell Avenue in Marverley, St Andrew.
According to a police report, the brutal shooting occurred at approximately 8:40 a.m. during the busy morning commute.
Reportedly, the police said Riley drove a gray Toyota Probox motorcar along Molynes Road.
At the stoplight on Molynes Road and Washington Boulevard, two men on a motorcycle pulled up next to the Probox.
The suspects reportedly brandished guns and opened fire on the Probox. They hit Riley in the upper body multiple times. The shots left him slumped across the steering wheel while the vehicle was still in motion.

Additionally, bullets pierced a KIA motorcar driven by a woman, but she escaped harm.
Police officers responded and rushed the victims to the hospital. The authorities pronounced Riley dead. They admitted the other man. The police withheld his name.
Investigators attached to the St Andrew South police division have launched an investigation into the matter.
Law enforcement believes the deadly stoplight gun attack that took Riley’s life is connected to the ongoing feud. This feud involves factions of the top and bottom Marverley gang.
Investigators said they knew Riley, and he was an affiliate of the Top Marverley faction.
Riley’s killing was reportedly a response to Orlando David’s death. Orlando was one of six individuals shot after a wake on February 23, 2025.
David succumbed to injuries in the attack, believed to have been orchestrated by the Top Marverley gang.

The St George’s College student succumbed to gunshot injuries. Men on a motorcycle ambushed him, his mother, and his brother at about 7:30 a.m.
The woman drove to the stoplight at Lindsay Crescent and Dunrobin Avenue. She came to a stop. At that moment, men on a motorcycle opened fire on the vehicle.
