Deadly Shooting. Annotto Bay police, in St. Mary, responded to another deadly shooting in the Iterboreale community Friday Afternoon. Reportedly, a lone gunman opened fire on a mother and her son, injuring the mother and killing the son.
Dead is Marvin “Ricky Jay” Wilson, 23, an electrician from an Enfield address in St. Mary.
According to reports, at about 3:40 p.m., Wilson, his mother, and other family members were seated on a veranda in Iterboreale, Dry River Bridge.
A lone masked gunman reportedly entered the premises from the back of the house and opened fire. Wilson ran into the house, but the gunman chased and shot him multiple times before escaping on foot.
Later, residents found Wilson’s mother suffering from gunshot wounds to the left foot. Unconfirmed reports indicated the wounded woman lost all five toes on her left foot.
Authorities at the Annotto Bay hospital pronounced Wilson dead and admitted his wounded mother.
The police have yet to prove a motive for the shooting, but it appeared Wilson was the target.
The St Mary Criminal Investigation Bureau is investigating the deadly shooting.
In the meantime, the acting superintendent for the parish, Anthony Wallace, told Observer Online that Annotto Bay has become a hot spot for crime.
Wallace said the police will maintain a strong presence in the area to reassure residents of the commitment to maintain peace and security.

Deadly Shooting. Detectives assigned to the Spanish Town CIB in St Catherine are searching for suspects who robbed, shot, and killed a truck Friday night.

Dead is Reeshaun Dallas, 30, o/c ‘Jordan’, 30, of March Pen Road in Spanish Town.
According to the police, at about 10:30, Dallas reportedly drove a truck laden with chickens to NaseberryGrove, where armed men held him at gunpoint.
Dallas attackers robbed the truck and opened gunfire, hitting him.
He was assisted to the Spanish Town Hospital, where the authorities pronounced him dead.
The Spanish Town Criminal Investigation Branch is probing the deadly shooting.
