Triple Homicide in Green Island: Recent Murders Shock Community.

GREEN ISLAND, Hanover: The Hanover police, along with the Major Investigations Division, have initiated thorough investigations into the heinous murders of three individuals in Green Island on Tuesday night.

The tragic events unfolded in Harding Hall, a community that is typically regarded as tranquil, but has recently presented significant challenges for law enforcement.

Preliminary reports show that all three victims were employees at a large construction site in the parish.

The first victim, 61-year-old laborer Melvin “Run-tings” Davis, was shot dead at his residence in Harding Hall around 10:30 p.m. Authorities report that Davis was targeted by assailants who opened fire, striking him in the upper body.

Approximately 25 minutes later, the lives of a woman and a man were claimed in a neighboring house.

They have been identified as 45-year-old Andre Colley, known as “Backhoe,” an electrician also residing in Harding Hall, and 43-year-old Stacey Ann Williams, referred to as “Sandy,” a laborer originally from Shettlewood in Eastern Hanover.

As per police accounts, around 10:55 p.m., the two victims were at home when armed men entered and began shooting at them.

Despite the proximity of the incidents, law enforcement officials assert that there is currently no evidence to suggest a connection between the murders.

Hanover Western Member of Parliament Tamika Davis remarked that these violent occurrences transpired during a period when the parish had been experiencing a decline in murder rates.

She urged citizens with any potential information about the incidents to come forth and help the police. “Any information you have could be vital. Please do not underestimate its importance. Share it with the police, your pastor, or a lawyer. You can also visit my office to discuss further,” advised Davis, who is also an attorney.

According to police reports, the drama unfolded around 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 22, when Grant and his mother clashed in a fiery dispute. In a moment that could only be described as chilling, he brandished a handgun, aiming it at her and uttering threats to end her life.

Terrified, his mother fled their home to alert the authorities.

Law enforcement wasted no time, quickly apprehending Grant and slapping him with formal charges on Tuesday, September 24.

As the repercussions of his reckless actions loom, the date for his court appearance remains a question mark.

A St Mary taxi operator is charged with rape.

In Port Maria, St. Mary, detectives apprehended and charged a taxi operator on Tuesday, September 24, following allegations of rape involving a female passenger.

The individual in custody has been identified as Casewell Marsh, also known as ‘Dove-Dove,’ 41, hailing from Grants Town, St. Mary.

According to reports from the Port Maria police, the victim called Marsh for a ride after leaving her workplace in January.

As they approached a certain area of the roadway in Port Maria, Marsh deviated from the route and is alleged to have sexually assaulted her.

The victim subsequently reported the incident to the police, prompting an investigation.

After evading law enforcement for several months, Marsh was apprehended and formally charged on Tuesday, September 24.

The date for the accused man’s court appearance has yet to be determined.
