Double Murder. On Saturday morning, residents of Farm District woke up to the tragic news of a double homicide in their community.

Murder and Robbery Charges: May Pen, Marl Road, Spanish Town. On Thursday, February 13, 2024, detectives from St. Andrew South CIB charged Malik Peart, 24, from Ambroke Lane in St. Andrew, with the fatal shooting of a man on Lower Marl Road in 2023.

Murder and Robbery Charges. Peart faces charges of murder, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of unauthorized ammunition, and using a firearm to commit a felony.

The cops identified the deceased as Andre Freckleton, o/c ‘Kunta’, of Liguanea, in St Andrew.

Law enforcement said Freckleton was at Lower Marl Road at about 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 04, 2023.

Murder and Robbery Charges. Peart allegedly pounced upon Freckleton and brandished a gun. Then, he opened gunfire, hitting Freckleton in the head and upper body, before escaping on foot in the community.

The police responded and transported the injured man to the hospital, where the authorities pronounced him dead.

After eluding law enforcement for over a year, the authorities apprehended Peart. On Thursday, February 13, they formally charged him after an interview in the presence of his attorney.

Peart court date is pending.

Detectives charged Everton Brown, 23, of Line district, May Pen, Clarendon, with housebreaking and larceny.

According to the May Pen Police, on Tuesday, February 4, at about 9:00 p.m., a woman locked her bar and left for home.

The complainant returned the next day at about 8:00 a.m. and discovered that the back door had been forced open.

She inspected the premises. She discovered that a Poker gaming box was missing. A monitor box, liquor, and items from a refrigerator were also gone.

The business owner promptly filed a report with the May Pen Police, who launched an investigation.

On Monday, February 10, officers apprehended Brown in his community.

They formally charged the next day after a question-and-answer session.

Everton Brown will face the Court on Thursday, February 20, 2025.

Investigators from the Spanish Town CIB in St Catherine charged a suspect. The suspect was connected to the fatal stabbing of a bus driver in December 2024.

Law enforcement identified the suspect as Jamar Drummond, 28, a laborer of March Pen Road, St Catherine.

The cops identified the deceased as Nicholas Leach, o/c ‘Flex,’ of Eltham Park, Spanish Town, in St Catherine.

Murder and Robbery Charges. According to the allegation, at about 10:50 a.m. on December 28, 2024, Leach was traveling along Young Street, Spanish Town, in a Toyota Coaster bus when Drummond came aboard.

Then, Drummond allegedly used a knife to stab Leach in the neck.

Good Samaritans assisted Leach to the hospital, where the medical staff pronounced him dead on arrival.

Detectives from the Spanish Town Criminal Investigations Branch launched a probe that led to Drummond’s arrest.

The police formally charged Drummond following a question-and-answer session.

His court date is pending.
