Jamaican wanted in the US for suspected involvement in lottery scamming apprehended in Hanover.

Spanish Town cops have charged ambush and murder suspect "Tutu". Police officers assigned to the Spanish Town CIB arrested and charged a suspect following an ambush and fatal shooting of a farmer and injuring of his wife in St Catherine. Investigators have identified the accused as Jamie Stephenson, affectionately known as “Tutu,” 33. He is a resident of Mansfield Heights, Ocho Rios, in St Ann, Jamaica. Cops from the Spanish Town CIB have identified the late farmer as 62-year-old Clement Mills.

HANOVER, Jamaica—Dwayne Anderson, also known as ‘Blue,’ was captured on July 11, 2024, in the Old Road District of Lucea, Hanover. Anderson, 35, is wanted in the United States for charges including mail fraud, money laundering, wire fraud, and other lottery scamming activities.

His arrest was the result of a joint operation by the Jamaica Fugitive Apprehension Team, Lottery Scam Task Force, and Area One Operational Support Team, conducted between 4:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. Anderson is currently in custody, awaiting an extradition hearing.

Kingston Mayor Andrew Swaby wants to meet with the Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) to discuss their drivers causing traffic jams and unsanitary conditions near St. William Grant Park in downtown Kingston.

He mentioned that this issue has been brought up before and it’s making it difficult for the city to maintain order in public spaces. Mr. Swaby also pointed out that the drivers are parking on the sidewalk next to the park, causing traffic and allowing unsanitary behavior. He has asked the JUTC drivers to follow the city’s rules.
