Beryllium Security Cash Theft: Suspect Charged in Kingston Incident. East Kingston detectives charged a suspect after law enforcement found bags of cash fell from a Beryllium vehicle at his home.
Police officials said the bizarre incident unfolded on November 7, 2024, along Sir Florizel Glasspole Boulevard in Kingston.
Investigators named the accused Aldin Nelson, 52, a chauffeur from Harbor View, St Andrew. The police charged Nelson with simple larceny.
According to the allegations, at about 9:45 a.m., Beryllium Security officers were transporting money along Sir Florizel Glasspole Boulevard in Kingston.
A motorist reportedly alerted the security officers that the truck’s back door was open, and two bags had fallen from the vehicle along the roadway.
The Beryllium Security officers checked along the roadway but did not find the money bags.
Law enforcement responded and initiated a thorough search of the area, but they still came up empty.
After further investigation and intelligence gathering, the police identified Nelson as a suspect and searched his home. During the search, the police found a bag with the money missing from the Beryllium Security vehicle.
Law enforcement arrested Nelson and formally charged him a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney.
His court appearance date is pending.

Police in St Elizabeth have launched a probe into the death of a man who was killed in a suspected hit-and-run along the Goshen main road early Wednesday morning.
The police said the body is of a dark brown complexion, slim build, and about 5 feet 4 inches long. And clad in a white T-shirt, short black jeans, and black sneakers.

Reports from the Santa Cruz police are that at about 3:12 a.m., residents stumbled upon the body and alerted them.
Law enforcement responded and reportedly saw the body lying face down with injuries to the head and hand.
The scene of crime detectives processed the scene and the body to the morgue.
