Fuel Theft: NSWMA Workers Charged with Stealing Fuel. On Monday, April 5, 2025, C-TOC detectives arrested and charged two National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA) employees in Jamaica. The police accused the men of stealing fuel from garbage trucks while on duty for over a year. Investigators identified the accused as Kemar Cousins, 35, who resides on Regent Street in Kingston. They also identified Karim Isaacs, 57, who lives in Jones Town in St Andrew.

Fuel Theft: NSWMA Workers Charged with Stealing Fuel. On Monday, April 5, 2025, C-TOC detectives arrested and charged two National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA) employees in Jamaica. The police accused the men of stealing fuel from garbage trucks while on duty for over a year.

Investigators identified the accused as Kemar Cousins, 35, who resides on Regent Street in Kingston. They also identified Karim Isaacs, 57, who lives in Jones Town in St Andrew.

The accused men face larceny as a servant and simple larceny charges.

According to the police, the alleged fuel theft reportedly occurred between February 2024 and April 2025. It resulted in significant losses for the garbage collection agency.

The police stated that both employees worked as garbage truck operators for the NSWMA. They allegedly made unauthorized stops at various locations during their official duties. They further alleged that the men siphoned fuel illegally from the trucks at these stops.

NSWMA officials reported the matter to C-TOC. C-TOC launched an investigation. They arrested and charged the suspects on May 5, 2025.

Their court appearance date is July 16, 2025.

Police charged three suspects in Kingston abduction and robbery case

Police in Eastern Kingston, Jamaica, reported that they have formally charged three suspects whom they had arrested on April 11. The arrests was in connection with the abduction and robbery of two women in Harbor View, St. Andrew.

Detectives charged the suspects with multiple offenses, including robbery and abduction and illegal possession of prohibited weapons and ammunition. 

The police said the suspects allegedly abducted the complainants on April 9. This happened moments after the complainants boarded a rogue taxicab in Harbor View. 

Then, the suspect allegedly held the women at gunpoint and robbed them of their cell phones, cash, and bank cards. 

The authorities said, the suspects later released their victims in the Pembroke Hall community, where the St. Andrew South Police assisted them. 

Law enforcement promptly launched an investigation. This led them to target a white Toyota Probox. It was identified as the vehicle used by the robbers in the crime. 

On April 11, 2025, police operatives intercepted the vehicle in downtown Kingston and arrested the suspects.

They found various items in the suspects’ possession. These included two illegal firearms and two imitation guns. They also found 51 rounds of ammunition. They discovered clothing matching descriptions from other robberies and a gray ski mask.

Law enforcement have yet to decide on a court appearance date for the suspect.

Authorities stated that the suspects are scheduled to face a series of identification parades. These are related to other crimes committed in the Corporate Area.
