An American teenage fugitive seeking refuge in Jamaica will face the court today, November 25, 2022.
18-year-old Matthew Pinnock is wanted on multiple criminal charges in New York, USA. But the teen fled to Jamaica and hid in Greenvale, Manchester, perhaps, thinking he was safe. And just when he thought his troubles were behind him, the long arms of the law flushed him out.
Pinnock was apprehended during a targeted predawn raid by members of JFAT and C-TOC on Wednesday, November 23, 2022.
He is wanted in New York on an arrest warrant for attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, robbery, assault, criminal possession of a weapon, reckless endangerment, and several other charges.
For someone so young yet allegedly so dangerous, the community of Greenvale must consider themselves lucky that Pinnock never got the chance to settle. But unfortunately, there is no way to tell what havoc this young criminal would have potentially wreaked in the community.
It is fair to assume someone in the community tipped off the police because they knew exactly where to look for the American fugitive. The police said the criminal was hiding when they nabbed him.
He was transported to Kingston, where he will appear before a judge in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on November 25, 2022.
