Law Enforcement Arrested three in St. Catherine and St. Ann

Police in Westmoreland, Jamaica, arrested and charged a suspect who allegedly attacked a man with a hammer during a dispute. According to reports, the incident occurred on Monday, July 21, 2025, in Savanna-la-mar, Westmoreland. The police identified the accused as Alaska Reid, o/c Masicka, age 20, a laborer from Dexter Street in Westmoreland. Law enforcement charged him with wounding with intent.

Illegal firearm seized in St Ann nightclub raid

Law Enforcement Arrested three in St. Catherine and St. Ann. The Brown’s Town police raided the Big Apple Night Club in St. Ann on Sunday, April 13, 2025, resulting in the seizure of an illegal firearm and the arrest of a suspect.

According to reports, at about 3:20 a.m., law enforcement operatives from the Brown’s Town Police Station conducted a snap raid at the Big Apple Night Club.

During the operation, the police seized one Smith and Wesson M&P pistol affixed with a magazine containing one round.

The police arrested one suspect on suspicion of possession of a prohibited weapon and unauthorized possession of ammunition.

Investigators from the Brown’s Town Criminal Investigation Branch are probing the matter. They have withheld the name of the suspect pending formal charges.

Authorities identified the accused as Lloyd Green, 60, a businessman of Daniel Circle in Portmore, St. Catherine.

Law enforcement charged Green with assault occasioning bodily harm and malicious destruction of property.

According to the Portmore police, at about 4:04 a.m., Green and the complainant were playing a game of dominoes at a neighbor’s house.

During the game, Green and the complainant got into a verbal altercation, which allegedly became physical.

During the fight, Green reportedly used a glass bottle to hit the man on his head. This action caused bruises and swelling.

Besides, Green allegedly caused damage to the complainant’s phone during the fight.

The complainant filed a report with the police, who launched an investigation.

Law enforcement later arrested and charged Green after the complainant pointed him out to the police.

His court date is pending.

Vendor Assaulted at Hellshire Beach: Female Charged

Authorities identified the accused as Channa Brown, a masseuse of Rainsford Road in Kingston. Law enforcement charged her with assault occasioning bodily harm.

At approximately 2:45 p.m., Brown allegedly attacked a vendor selling products at Hellshire Beach. He hit her several times on the head and hand with a piece of wood. This caused multiple bruises and swelling.

The vendor managed to escape further harm and made a report to the police.

Law enforcement visited the scene of the incident, and the complainant pointed out the accused.

The police later arrested and formally charged Brown

Her court appearance date is pending.
