WESTMORELAND, Jamaica – The police have reported that a 35-year-old man bit the dust while attending a beach party at Old Bay fishing beach in Whitehouse, Westmoreland, on Saturday night, Nov 5, 2022. His death has added a notch to somebody’s gun and a digit to the murder tally.
The deceased has been identified as Anukie Green, otherwise called Stitchie, a farmer of Almanda Drive, Black River in St Elizabeth, and Culloden, Whitehouse, Westmoreland.
The police were summoned to the location at 8:45 pm after residents heard loud explosions like gunshots coming from the direction of the beach.
On arrival, the police found Green’s body lying on its back motionless, in a pool of blood and what appeared to be gunshot wounds to his head and upper body.
The police transported him to the Savanna-La-Mar Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigations are ongoing, the police said.
