Cops Charged a Married Couple With Theft $2 Million. Cops in St. Catherine, Jamaica, have charged a couple in connection with the alleged theft of over $2 million. The couple allegedly stole the money from an establishment in Old Harbor, where the wife works as the branch manager. According to a statement issued on Sunday, the woman reportedly admitted to diverting the funds to help with family-related emergencies.

Vigilant Policing Resulted in Guns Recovery and Arrests. Swift and vigilant work by the St. Catherine South police on Friday night, April 20, 2025, resulted in the arrest of two men. The men allegedly robbed a woman at gunpoint of cash and other possessions.

But, through vigilant policing, the police not only apprehended the suspects but also recovered the stolen items, a homemade shotgun and a motor vehicle. This successful recovery brings a sense of justice to the victim and the community.

Reports show that around 11:45 p.m., the woman was in the Seven East area of Greater Portmore. She was held up by the men and robbed.

The robbers reportedly escaped in a Nissan motorcar displaying public passenger vehicle (PPV) registration plates.

After the robbery, the victim reported the crime to the police. They intercepted the vehicle along Port Henderson Road in Portmore. It is a major thoroughfare in the area.

The suspects, aged 40 and 45, are being held on suspicion of armed robbery and possession of a prohibited weapon.

If found guilty, they will face significant jail time. The Portmore Criminal Investigations Branch has launched an investigation into the matter.

Additionally, the authorities have withheld the identity of the accused, pending further investigation and formal charges.

Police in Westmoreland charged a suspect after removing a loaded firearm from his waistband during a traffic stop. The incident occurred Friday night, April 11, 2025, in the Strathbogie district in Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland.

The authorities identified the accused as Ricardo Kerr, 32, a laborer from the Strathbogie district in Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland.

Law enforcement officers charged Kerr with possession of a prohibited weapon and unauthorized possession of ammunition.

At approximately 10 p.m., a team of police officers from the Savanna-la-Mar police was on patrol in the Strathbogie community.

The officers noticed a group of men behaving in a manner that aroused their suspicion.

As a result, the cops approached and searched the men.

During the search, the vigilant cops removed a loaded gun from Kerr’s waistband.

The officers later arrested and charged Kerr. His court date is pending.
