Gun violence in Quarry Hill resulted in one death and one injured. An 18-year-old construction worker, identified as Miguel Anderson and popularly known as ‘Bingy’, was tragically shot and killed on Saturday night.

Witnesses report that Anderson was leisurely seated in a chair at the Henderson View community, close to Shelly Corner Shop.
While minding his own business, a group of armed assailants approached him. Without warning, the attackers unleashed a barrage of gunfire, striking Anderson multiple times and leaving him gravely wounded.
During the chaos, a 31-year-old man in the vicinity suffered injuries to his hand. Good Samaritans promptly rushed him to the hospital, where medical staff treated his wounds, and released him shortly after.
Additionally, a motor car parked in the area got caught in the gun violence crossfire, sustaining damage from stray bullets.
