Travel Agent Charged for Defrauding Marching Band in Spanish Town
Cops Charged Three Suspects in Manchester and Spanish Town. Police in Spanish Town St Catherine, Jamaica, charged a St Andrew travel agent. She allegedly defrauded members of a marching band in connection with visa applications.
Authorities have identified the accused as 35-year-old Tiffany Biggs. The police charged Biggs with fraudulent conversion.
On November 13, 2024, the complainant gave Biggs money. The purpose was to process visa applications for 50 marching band members. The band is based in Spanish Town.
The complainant reportedly paid Biggs $37,000 for each applicant, amounting to $1,850,000. But, the complainant only paid $1.5 million upfront.
Biggs reportedly completed the visa application process for 44 members, leaving six applicants still pending.
The police said the complainant requested Biggs to refund $222,000 for six unprocessed applications.
When she did not return the funds, the complainant filed a report with the Spanish Town CIB.
Cops charged three. Detectives launched an investigation, which led them to arrest and charge Biggs.
Her appearance in the St. Catherine Parish Court is on Tuesday, March 18.
Cops charged Clarendon man for stabbing incident at Linstead bus park
In Linstead, St Catherine, Jamaica, police charged a suspect. He allegedly inflicted several stab wounds on a bus during an argument.

Investigators identified the accused as Washington Johnson, 55, a resident of John’s district in Croft Hill, Clarendon.
The police charged Johnson with wounding with intent. His court appearance date is pending.
The police stated that on March 4, 2025, at about 3:15 p.m., Johnson and the 58-year-old complainant got into a heated argument in the Linstead bus park.
During the altercation, Johnson allegedly brandished a ratchet knife and stabbed the complainant repeatedly in the chest.
A team of law enforcement officers patrolling the space responded and laid hold of Johnson.
The police escorted Johnson to the Linstead police station and transported the injured man to the hospital.
They formally charged Johnson on March 14, 2025. His court appearance date is pending.
Cops charged Two teens charged for schoolboy attack in Manchester
In Christiana, Manchester, Jamaica, investigators charged two 15-year-old boys. They attacked a schoolboy while he was walking home along a roadway.
The police charged the teenagers with wounding with intent. The incident allegedly occurred on Thursday afternoon, March 13, 2025.
According to the Christiana police, at around 1:30 p.m., the complainant was walking home from school with a friend along Main Street in Christiana. A group of boys, including the accused, armed with knives and sticks, approached them.
Reportedly, an argument developed between the parties. During the argument, the accused teenage boys struck the complainant repeatedly with a board. They also stabbed him in his right side, causing a wound that bled.
Concerned citizens rushed the injured boy to the hospital, where the authorities admitted him in serious condition.
Cops charged three. Law enforcement responded and arrested the accused teens. The police formally charged them on March 15, 2025.
The accused boys’ court dates are pending.
