The police fatally shot a machete-wielding suspect believed to be mentally disturbed during a confrontation. Unfortunately, the situation unfolded in the Kingsland District in Manchester on Sunday, moments after the police accosted the suspect. He had inflicted wounds on wounds on a senior citizen earlier.
So far, the authorities have yet to identify the deceased.
An eyewitness told Observer Online that the injured senior citizen had to run about 150 meters to a nearby gas station to escape the suspect.
Preliminary reports indicated that at about 1:00 p.m., police responded to the crime scene.
Upon arrival, the machete-wielding suspect reportedly began hurling rocks at the police.
Despite the police’s attempts to subdue the suspect and warnings to cease, he continued to attack the police.
As a result, the police fired several warning shots but the suspect failed to yield.
In the end, the officers opened fire on the man. Hospital authorities later pronounced him dead.
Reportedly, three police officers who sustained injuries during the melee were taken to a hospital for treatment.
Adrian Boothe Murder Investigation in Spanish Town Underway.
The Spanish Town police in St. Catherine are conducting an investigation into the murder of a man. reportedly, the murder occurred in the town center on Sunday morning.

The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Adrian Boothe, o/c ‘Munchie’, who resided on March Pen Road, Spanish Town.
According to reports, at approximately 9:30 a.m., Boothe was observed bleeding profusely while fleeing from the area near the train station on March Pen Road.
He subsequently collapsed on the road and was found lying on his left side, exhibiting what appeared to be stab wounds to his neck.
Boothe was transported to the Spanish Town Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The motive behind the homicide remains unclear.
Manhunt for Biker After Gun and Ammunition Discarded in St Andrew.
The St Andrew South Police Department is conducting a search for a motorcyclist who is alleged to have evaded a patrol team, abandoning an illegal firearm and approximately 30 rounds of assorted ammunition on Saturday.
At approximately 6:41 p.m., officers from the Olympic Gardens Police Station were on mobile patrol in the vicinity of Lyrics Corner. Upon approaching the intersection of Penwood Road and Unity Drive, they observed the motorcyclist.

Upon noticing the police presence, the suspect reportedly discarded a bag and accelerated away on the motorcycle.
The police later recovered the bag, which purportedly contained a 9mm Browning pistol accompanied by two magazines. One magazine was fully loaded with 22 rounds, while the other contained seven rounds.
