“It is crucial that operators exercise caution and conduct due diligence to protect themselves and their passengers.”

Clarendon Man Charged with Theft of Motor Vehicle.
A resident of Clarendon is facing charges for the alleged larceny of a motor vehicle.
CLARENDON, Jamaica – A 39-year-old man from Clarendon faces charges of larceny of a motor vehicle following the alleged theft of a rented car on Saturday, March 9, 2024.
The police identified the accused as Moore Taylor, a laborer from Treadmore Park, Denbigh, Clarendon.
The incident reportedly took place in the Ebony Park community in Toll Gate.
According to reports from the May Pen police, at approximately 11:20 p.m., the complainant rented a vehicle and parked it outside his home.
Upon waking up, he discovered the vehicle was missing. The incident was promptly reported to the police, leading to an investigation.
The vehicle was later found in a cane field after a search by the complainant and other community members. Taylor was apprehended by residents and handed over to the police.
Following his arrest, he was taken into custody and charged. He is set to appear in the Lionel Town Parish Court on Friday, March 15, 2024.
Ex-Police Constable Kevin Smalling Remanded in Custody for Alleged Shooting of Relative.
Kevin Smalling, a former member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force who resigned in 2020 and later migrated to the United States, has been remanded in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court in connection with the shooting death of a relative.
Following his arrest and charging on Friday, March 8, 2024, Smalling appeared before the parish court on Monday, March 11, 2024. His next court date for a bail application is scheduled for Tuesday, March 19, 2024.
The charges stem from an investigation by the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) and a ruling by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, which concluded that Smalling should be charged with murder and illegal possession of a firearm. These charges relate to the off-duty shooting of a family member, Lentoney Smalling, on December 2, 2018, at Lane Gate, 11 Miles, Bull Bay, St Andrew.
Sadly, the victim succumbed to his injuries on December 13, 2018.
