INDECOM, the Commission charged with investigating police shootings, has confirmed that none of the officers involved in five fatal shootings across four parishes, which led to the deaths of 11 men within 24 hours, were wearing body-worn cameras. This transparency from INDECOM is vital to maintain public trust and confidence in law enforcement activities.
INDECOM reported that these incidents involved two quadruple fatal shootings and three single fatal shootings occurring in St. James, St. Catherine, Clarendon, and St. Andrew.
The Commission has identified three of the four men the police unalive during an operation on Wednesday in Retirement, St. James. They are Bryan Fairclough Sr, 57, a tractor operator, Bryan Fairclough Jr, 28, a watchman, and Jahmar Ashman, 28. The authorities have yet to identify the fourth victim.

The Commission reported that it received notifications of
five separate police shootings occurring within 24 hours. These events have raised the total number of fatalities resulting from shootings involving security forces to 14 in June and 153 since the start of 2026.
INDECOM appealed to the public for help in identifing six unidentified dead suspects.
Additionally, INDECOM mentioned that six of the seven men killed in other incidents on June 9 across St. Catherine, Clarendon, and St. Andrew remain unidentified.

Also, the Commission reported that the police had recovered seven firearms from the five crime scenes.
