Unconfirmed reports indicated a cop fell victim to gun crimes in Jamaica during a robbery. He was working as a security guard at the supermarket.

The police have yet to issue an official statement on the deadly shooting.

According to reports, unknown assailants shot and wounded the officer at approximately 5:00 p.m. before escaping.

Concerned citizens rushed the officer to the hospital to save him, but it was too late. Hospital authorities pronounced him dead on arrival.

Detectives assigned to the Linstead Criminal Investigation Branch in St Catherine, Jamaica, have launched a probe into the fatal shooting death of a man along a roadway in the Barnett district in Above Rocks.

Dead is 27-year-old farmer Chanderpaul Creary, who lived in the Above Rocks community.

According to reports, at approximately 10:15 p.m. on Sunday, June 15, 2025, residents in the community heard a series of explosions.

They promptly went to investigate and later found Creary’s body lying in blood along the roadway. He had what appeared to be gunshot wounds.

Concerned citizens alerted the police. Upon arrival, the police found Creary suffering from gunshot wounds with an imitation firearm in his waistband.

According to the police, the man had a homemade firearm in his waistband.

The officers rushed the victim of gun crimes in Jamaica to the Linstead Hospital, where the authorities pronounced him dead.

Investigators have yet to prove a motive for this latest gun crime in Jamaica.

Dead is 30-year-old laborer Renaldo Coates, a resident of Clifton District in St. Catherine, Jamaica.

According to reports, at about 7:15 Sunday morning, persons stumbled upon Coates’ body at Ham Stables Farm.

The police were summoned, and the body was found in blood with what appeared to be gunshot wounds.

He was later pronounced dead at the Spanish Town Hospital.

Investigators have yet to prove a motive for the fatal shooting.

This failure is due to a lack of essential equipment. The situation has become so dire that many citizens are now saying, “If you want to die, go to a Jamaican hospital.”

Recently, a young woman tragically died after undergoing a C-section. A few months earlier, a four-year-old child lost their life. No operating rooms were available for an emergency surgery. This surgery could have saved the child’s life. Unfortunately, this is just one example among many.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Health and Wellness has addressed these alarming issues on social media. They assert that the Jamaican healthcare system is not in crisis. This statement comes in the wake of a warning from the U.S. government advising its citizens against traveling to Jamaica due to the poor quality of health services available.
