Police sting operation nets corrupt officers in Jamaica
Corruption and Theft Cases Rock St. Ann and St. Andrew. On Tuesday, April 1, 2025, law enforcement officials in St. Ann filed new charges against two police constables assigned to the St. Ann division.
The new charges came after a complainant pointed out the officers on an identification parade. This was about a second alleged corruption case.
Corruption and Theft. Constables Georgian Hunter and Ruel Masters are facing charges for breaches of the Corruption Prevention Act.
Detectives from the Inspectorate of Professional Standards Oversight Bureau (IPROB) formally charged the accused officers on March 27, 2025. The new charges arose from a second incident on March 25.
The new allegation indicated that on March 25, 2025, the accused constables were on traffic duty in Discovery Bay.
During their patrol, they stopped a tractor operator who had committed a breach of the Road Traffic Act.
Corruption and theft report. The accused police officers demanded $40,000 from the tractor operator to avoid prosecution.
According to reports, the tractor driver agreed and left the scene with a promise to return with the money. Instead, he went to the police station and made a report.
Similarly, in the first incident, the two cops reportedly solicited money from a motorist for a traffic violation.
The driver reported the incident to the Police High Command, leading to an investigation.
Law enforcement conducted a sting operation and reportedly caught them with the cash they solicited from the motorist. Their court appearance date are pending.
Corruption and theft: Duhaney Park women charged with $800K Theft
Police in Duhaney Park, St. Andrew, Jamaica, arrested and charged three women. The accused allegedly forcefully entered the complainant’s dwelling and stole several hundred thousand dollars.

The accused suspects face charges of housebreaking, larceny, and conspiracy.
Law enforcement officials have identified the accused. They are Yvette Johnstone, 66, Zodia Ramdatt, 48, and Shari Johnstone, 35. All are residents of Independence City, St. Catherine, in Jamaica.
Corruption and theft report.. According to the Duhaney Park police, at about 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2025, the complainant locked her bedroom. And left her helper to oversee the premises while she was away.
The accused allegedly visited the premises and demanded the helper give them the keys to her employer’s bedroom.
The helper refused to help. As a result, the accused used a wrench to pry the door from its hinges. Then, they entered the room and stole J$800,000 from the woman’s chest of drawers.
Then, they reportedly made their escape in a waiting motor car.
The complainant filed a report with the police. The police launched an investigation and later arrested and charged the three women.
The court appearance dates for the women are pending.
