Violent Night: Double Shooting and Stabbing in Jamaica. On Saturday night, June 14, 2025, armed men invaded a bar in Buxton Town, St. Catherine, and shot two patrons, one fatally.
Authorities identified the deceased as 27-year-old Randol Gallimore, a laborer of Buxton Town, Wakefield, in St. Catherine.
Police withheld the identity of the injured man. They stated that he is 20 years old. He is also from the Buxton community. He remains hospitalized.
Law enforcement said the shooting reportedly occurred at approximately 10:35 p.m.
It was alleged that both men were patrons at a bar in the community. A Toyota Probox drove up and stopped nearby.
Moments later, one man reportedly exited the vehicle, brandished a firearm, and opened fire, hitting both men.
Gallimore took bullets in his upper body while the other man received bullets in the arms.
Residents transported the victims to the Linstead Hospital, where the medical staff pronounced Gallimore dead.
Law enforcement has yet to prove a motive for the shooting.
The Linstead Criminal Investigation Branch in St. Catherine, Jamaica is probing the incident.
Violent night stabbing left ex-cop turned taxi operator dead
On Friday night, June 13, 2025, a passenger fatally stabbed a taxi operator, in Trelawny, Jamaica during an altercation. The taxi operator formerly served his country as a police officer.
The deceased has been identified as 34-year-old Steven Morris, a taxi operator of Duncans Hill in Trelawny.
Authorities alleged that at around 8 p.m., Morris was operating his taxi along Thorpe Street in Falmouth, Trelawny.
A dispute broke out between Morris and a passenger over seating arrangements in the vehicle.
The argument escalated into a fight. During the melee, the passenger allegedly used a knife and stabbed Morris in the abdomen.
Residents rushed Morris to the Falmouth Public General Hospital, where the authorities pronounced him dead.
After the incident, an angry mob attacked the suspected attacker, beating him. He was later taken to the hospital for treatment and then handed over to the police.
The Falmouth Police are investigating the tragic incident.
