ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica– Law enforcement officers in St Elizabeth said seven gunmen invaded a nightclub in the Bellevue district, St Elizabeth, on Wednesday, November 30, 2023. They robbed patrons of money and other items.

The police said there were no reports of anyone seriously injured during the incident. But at least one person was reportedly pistol-whipped and had to seek medical attention.
According to reports, at about 1:15 am, the group of seven thugs armed with guns entered the establishment and demanded cash.
They reportedly robbed the owner of five poker boxes valued at approximately $3 million and a quantity of assorted liquor. The authorities have yet to determine the value of the stolen liquor.
Additionally, the thugs allegedly robbed six patrons who were inside the establishment, taking their cash and cellphones.
One of the patrons was reportedly pistol-whipped by one of the robbers, resulting in him receiving a head injury.
The men then allegedly fired several shots before escaping in a waiting vehicle.
The police are working to bring the perpetrators to justice.

This audacious act occurred as he desperately tried to escape from the authorities. Such flagrant disregard for law and order is a grave concern for the safety and security of our community.

Reports from the Hunts Bay police indicate that at approximately 1:45 in the morning, law enforcement officers were patrolling the area when they noticed an individual walking along the roadway. The man’s suspicious behavior drew the attention of the officers, prompting them to approach him.
Upon spotting the officers, the man abruptly started running, displaying clear signs of panic. In an attempt to evade capture, he hastily threw an object under a nearby motor vehicle before being apprehended by the pursuing officers.
As the officers swiftly secured the suspect, they immediately proceeded to retrieve the object he had tossed. To their alarm, the discarded item turned out to be a .38 revolver. Upon further inspection, they discovered that the revolver contained three .38 rounds of ammunition.
The swift actions and vigilance of the officers ensured the potential danger of a loaded firearm was mitigated, and the suspect was brought into custody without further incident.
