Clarks Hill Attack: Two Criminal suspects Charged in Assault Case
Criminal Suspects: Arrests Made in St. James And St. Andrew. The Stony Hill police in St Andrew, Jamaica, arrested and charged two suspects. They alleged that these suspects attacked and assaulted the complainant. The suspects believed he was harboring strangers in the community.
Investigators charged Jerome Dixon, 37, a mason from Clarks Hill district, St Andrew, with breaches of the Firearms Act. They also charged the 17-year-old boy with assault occasioning bodily harm.
The incident occurred on the night of Monday, March 31.
According to reports from the Stony Hill police, at about 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 31, 2025, Dixon and the teen pounced upon the complainant. They allegedly accused him of harboring a stranger in the community.
Then, Dixon allegedly pulled a firearm from his waistband and struck the complainant in the chest. Meanwhile, the teen boy reportedly used a machete and hit the complainant several times.
Fortunately, the complaint managed to escape without further harm.
Later, he went to the police station, where he filed a report and gave a sworn statement.
On Saturday, April 5, 2025, Dixon and the teen surrendered to the police. Investigators arrested and charged the men.
Their court appearance dates are April 16 for Dixon and May 5, 2025, for the teenager.
St. James Woman Arrested for Job Scam in Cayman Islands
Criminal Suspects: Arrests Made in St. James And St. Andrew. Detectives in St. James, Jamaica, charged a pharmacy technician who the complainant accused of deception. He allegedly coerced a woman into paying over $270,000. The payment was for a job opportunity in the Cayman Islands that never materialized.

Criminal suspect Kadeane Swaby, 29, of West Gate Hills, St. James, faces charges of larceny by trickery. These charges are related to the employment scam that took place between April 2023 and September 21, 2024.
According to the Montego Bay Police, in 2023, Swaby convinced the complainant. She assured the complainant that her uncle would guarantee her a job in the Cayman Islands.
The woman initially provided Swaby with her passport and $18,000. This was to start the hiring process. She then added $255,000 to secure the position.
After some time passed without any updates about the job, the woman sought clarification and received many excuses from Swaby.
Similarly, after persistent concern, she reached out to Swaby’s uncle through a social networking platform. She discovered he was unaware of any arrangement. He had not provided any employment.
Realizing she had been deceived, the woman confronted Swaby, who promised to refund her by September 21, 2024. When the woman did not get her refund, she reported the incident to the police.
The Criminal suspect was apprehended on March 31 after the complainant identified her to law enforcement.
Law enforcement charged her on Thursday, April 3, 2025.
Law enforcement has yet to decide on Swaby’s court appearance date.
