Jamaica: Cops Filed Charges After Violent Attack and Gun Seizure. Police in Whithorn, Westmoreland, Jamaica, arrested and charged a female. She allegedly used a machete to inflict multiple chop wounds on her neighbor. This occurred during a dispute over a water pipe on March 19, 2025.

The authorities identified the accused as Kerry-Ann Clarke, 40, from Bastard Cedar Walk in Petersfield, Westmoreland in Jamaica. Law enforcement charged her with wounding with intent.

Whithorn police reported that at 3:30 pm on March 19, 2025, Clarke and her neighbor broke into a verbal dispute. Strangely enough, the police said the dispute was over a shared water pipe.

The dispute quickly escalated into a physical altercation.

During the fight, Clarke allegedly used a machete to inflict multiple wounds on the complainant, causing severe bleeding.

Concerned residents took the injured man to the Savanna La Mar hospital in Jamaica. There, the medical staff admitted him for treatment.

Later, the injured man filed a report with the police. The police launched an investigation, which led them to arrest Clarke.

On Sunday, March 23, 2025, investigators formally charged Clarke after an interview. Her court appearance date is pending.

The Portland Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB) in Jamaica has reported a significant development. On Wednesday, March 26, 2025, detectives charged six individuals. The arrests came after the police seized one high-powered rifle and other prohibited items. The police seized the items under the Firearms (Prohibition, Restriction, and Regulations) Act of 2022.

– Krystal-Gay McLean, 37, a sales representative from Long Road District, Portland, in Jamaica

– Natalie Bell, 36, a nail technician from Mount Pleasant District, Portland.

– Rudolph McLean, 59, a businessman from Murton Pen District, Manchioneal, Portland.

– Tamara Edwards, 42, a shop owner from Murton Pen District, Manchioneal, Portland.

– Randell McLean, 32, a businessman from Murton Pen District, Manchioneal, Portland.

– A 17-year-old male from Murton Pen District, Manchioneal, Portland.

The Manchioneal police stated that at about 8:00 a.m. on March 26, a police team raided a premises on Long Road, Portland in Jamaica

The officers searched the premises and seized one ISSC MK22 rifle, one 12-gauge shotgun, and twenty-eight 12-gauge cartridges; ten 5.56 cartridges, six .38 cartridges, one 9mm cartridge, and three magazines.

On Thursday, March 27,2025, detectives formally charged the accused after interviews with detectives in the presence of their attorneys.

Their court date is pending.
