MANCHIONEAL, PORTLAND, Jamaica – On Thursday morning, November 2, 2023, a domestic dispute between a Manchioneal couple ended badly, with both persons involved admitted to the hospital for treatment of injuries they received during the melee.
One of the parties, a 25-year-old man, needed emergency surgery while the woman, 20, was admitted under police guard, sources told Observer Online.
According to reporting via Observer Online, at about 5:50 a.m., a domestic dispute developed between the couple, who shared a child.
During the dispute, the report said, the woman allegedly used a knife to stab her partner in the right side of his neck, causing a wound that bled profusely.
A brawl ensued between the couple, and the woman ended up with a cut on her left hand.
The police assisted both parties to the hospital, where the authorities admitted the man for surgery and the woman for treatment.
The police placed the woman under police guard while being treated for a wound to her left hand.
The police are investigating.
St James man charged with November 2022 fatal shooting of 5-year-old boy.
JOHNS HALL, ST JAMES, Jamaica–Police in St. James arrested a suspect wanted for the November 2022 shooting of three people, of whom two died, including a 5-year-old boy, while attending a funeral in Johns Hall.

Charged with murder, wounding with intent, shooting with intent, possession of a prohibited weapon, and unauthorized possession of ammunition is Lorenzo Walters, also known as ‘Larry,’ aged 30, a resident of Grange Hill, Westmoreland.
The police identified the deceased as Tavoy Cummins, aged 5, and Maso Semiu Shaw, aged 26, both of Grange Hill, Westmoreland.
The police reported that at about 2 p.m. on November 20, 2022, the family boarded a vehicle after attending the funeral of Tomani Walters, and two armed men, including the accused, opened fire in the vehicle, hitting the 5-year-old boy, his father, and Shaw.
Hospital authorities pronounced Shaw and the 5-year-old dead on arrival and admitted the boy’s father for treatment.
The police arrested Walters on Sunday, October 29, during a police-military operation. The police later charged him after a question-and-answer session.
His court date is pending.
