Jamaica Police made Breakthrough In Gun Shipment Case. Law enforcement authorities in Jamaica charged three suspects. The suspects include a 16-year-old from Mandeville, Manchester. Agents charged them in connection with a shipment of 11 guns from the United States. The police seized the firearms at a warehouse in Kingston on March 19, 2025, during an operation.
Jamaica police made breakthrough. Investigators charged the teen with possession of identity information. They also charged another suspect with the same offense under the Law Reform (Fraudulent Transactions Special Provisions) Act.
The third suspect faces possession of unauthorized ammunition under the Firearms (Prohibition, Restriction and Regulation) Act.
According to the authorities, the police apprehended the suspects during an operation on March 26, 2025.
Authorities said the operation involved agents from the Firearms and Narcotics Investigation Division (FNID). Also involved were Police Area 3 Fugitive Apprehension Team, and the Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigation Branch.
Law enforcement officials reported that their operation on Wednesday was part of an ongoing investigation. This investigation concerns the seizure of firearms and ammunition at a logistics facility in Newport West, Kingston. The incident occurred on March 19, 2025.

Meanwhile, senior Superintendent Samuel Blake is head of the FNID. He stated that the police aim to combat organized crime syndicates throughout the island.
The FNID is seeking the public’s help in gathering information regarding the movement of illegal firearms and illicit drugs. Law enforcement authorities have identified the accused as 35-year-old Jamoy Chusney and 28-year-old Diallo Grey. Both accused are residents of Patrick Drive in Kingston 20.
Further police investigation revealed that Chusney has an outstanding warrant for a breach of the Road Traffic Act.
According to the police, two officers were on mobile patrol. They entered a bar and observed two individuals. The individuals were acting in a manner that aroused the officers’ suspicion.
The officers approached the suspects carefully and conducted a search.
During the search, the cops found both individuals in possession of illegal weapons and ammunition.
Jamaica police made breakthrough. The cops confiscated one Taurus Armas pistol. Its magazine contained two 9mm rounds. They also confiscated one Sig Sauer pistol. It had an erased serial number and a magazine with three 9mm rounds.
Law enforcement took the suspects into custody and later charged them after a question-and-answer session.
Their court appearance dates are pending.
