On Saturday morning, April 15, 2023, four gunmen held up a cleaning lady and pulled off a multi-million dollar robbery at Bud Gas Station in Gutters, Old Harbour, St Catherine.
According to preliminary reports, at about 5:30 am, on Saturday, April 15, 2023, an 80-year-old cleaning lady opened the office at the Buds Gas Station, and four armed men forced their way inside the building. They then robbed the establishment of an estimated $24 million and escaped in a waiting car.
The police are investigating.
Gunmen kill patron at karaoke in Clarendon.
CLARENDON, Jamaica – Patrons attending a karaoke in Denbigh, Clarendon, had to run for cover Friday night, April 14, 2023, after unknown thugs invaded the event and opened fire at patrons. At the end of the shooting, patrons found one man suffering from gunshot wounds. He later died.
The police identified the dead man Rhodjell Edwards, age 30, from Douglas Drive, Denbigh, Clarendon.
According to reports, at about 11:30 pm, Friday, April 14, 2023, the deceased and several other patrons were attending a karaoke on Douglas Drive when armed men opened fire at Edwards, hitting him several times in the head and upper body.
Patrons alerted the police, and upon arrival, they found Edwards lying face down in a pool of blood on a dirt track with multiple gunshot wounds.
The police transported Edwards to the May Pen Hospital, where the authorities pronounced him dead.
The police recovered seven 9mm spent casings at the scene.
The police did not establish a motive for the shooting.
Man gunned down in Cross Roads.
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The St Andrew Central police have reported that unknown thugs shot and killed a man on Retirement Crescent in Cross Roads, St Andrew, Saturday morning, April 15, 2023.
The police could only identify the man as ‘GC’ from Retirement Crescent, Kingston 5.
According to preliminary reports, on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at about 5:40 am, residents in the community heard loud explosions and went to investigate. They stumbled upon the body of the deceased and alerted the police.
On arrival, the police found the deceased lying face down with multiple gunshot wounds. Additionally, the deceased was clad only in brown plaid underpants.
The police recovered more than ten spent casings at the scene.
$1 million reportedly stolen from St Elizabeth remittance outlet
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica – According to preliminary reports, on Saturday morning, April 15, 2023, robbers broke into a Santa Cruz remittance outlet and stole $1 million.
The robbers reportedly gained entry to the building on Coke Drive and stole the money.
The incident reportedly occurred at about 2:45 am.
