Teenage girls, aged 14 and 15, are in police custody following their alleged involvement in an attack on an older citizen, raising questions about their maturity and legal accountability.

A 64-year-old man who allegedly arranged to meet two teenage girls at a villa in Morant Bay, St. Thomas, ended up in the hospital. Meanwhile, the two girls are now in police custody following an alleged attempted murder.

The St. Thomas police are investigating the incident, which led to the arrest of the girls, ages 15 and 14, on suspicion of attempted murder. In addition, they are accused of conspiracy to commit murder, and simple larceny.

Reports indicate that the man arranged to meet the teenage girls around 3:00 AM on July 5 for a sexual encounter. This happened at the villa in Morant Bay, St Thomas.

To prepare for the encounter, the teenage girls bought knives, duct tape and a tarpaulin.

Investigators allege that the teenage girls purchased duct tape, knives, tarpaulin, and other items prior to the meeting. The complainant reportedly picked them up in his Daihatsu motor vehicle the night before and transported them to the villa.

Regrettably, shortly after renting a room and the sexual encounter began, the situation allegedly took a violent turn. The girls began to attacked the complainant.

As a result, the complainant reportedly sustained stab wounds to his face, neck, and back. However, he managed to escape from the room and raise an alarm.

The suspects ran from the room, seized the complainant’s Daihatsu motor vehicle, and fled the scene. This raised doubts whether the girls acted alone.

Police officers responded to the premises, where they found the complainant bleeding. They quickly transported him to the Morant Bay hospital, where the medical staff admitted him in serious condition.

Later, law enforcement successfully apprehended the teenage suspects at the Morant Bay Urban Center. They are now in custody as the investigation continues. It’s a complex situation, underscoring the importance of vigilance and awareness in our communities.
