CCTV Cameras Captures $2 Million ATM Theft Incident. The police have charged security officer Terance Austin with larceny. He allegedly stole over $2 million from an ATM his employer assigned him to service. And, according to the police, the alleged theft was reportedly captured on CCTV.

Austin, 55, from Kintyre Road in Kingston 6, was identified after a financial institution uncovered missing funds between January and May of this year.

As a result, the institution alerted the security company responsible for servicing the ATM, prompting them to launch an internal investigation.

During the probe, the company found evidence linking Austin to the specific ATM . Besides, he was responsible for clearing the ATM and the cheque deposit vault.

Investigators allege that Austin took $2,045,300 from the ATM while performing his duties. Fortunately, CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity of the ATM recorded the theft.

Subsequently, the authorities notified the police on June 11, who arrested Austin.

Then, on June 16, the police formally charged Austin with larceny as a servant after providing a caution statement in the presence of his attorney.

His court appearance date is pending.

Man fatally stabbed after asking to turn down tv volume during world cup

A tragedy occurred in St. Catherine on Wednesday night during a televised World Cup football match. A disagreement over the volume of the television escalated into a fatal stabbing. As a result, a 23-year-old man lost his life, and his 25-year-old uncle is now in police custody.

The authorities have identified the victim as Lamar Mullings, an unemployed resident of Bowie Road in Ewarton, St Catherine.

According to reports, at around 8 p.m. on June 17, Mullings was at home watching the football match on television.

While in bed, the younger Mullings allegedly asked his 25-year-old uncle to lower the volume of the television. The uncle reportedly refused his nephew’s request, leading to an argument between them.

According to investigators, the disagreement quickly escalated into a physical fight. During the fight, the uncle allegedly used a knife and stabbed his nephew in the chest.

Concerned residents quickly transported the victim to Linstead Hospital, where authorities declared him dead upon arrival.

The Ewarton Police responded to the homicide scene and arrested the suspect on suspicion of murder.

In the meantime, investigators continue to investigate the matter.
