Detectives from Hunts Bay charged Freeman Lane shooter

The authorities have identified the suspect as Andre ‘Biggs’ Brown, 21, from Fitzgerald Avenue in Kingston 13. Also, Detectives in St James have charged a suspect with the shooting of a father and his s six-year-old son. The shooting took place earlier this year in Mount Carey. Detectives identified the suspect as Leroy "Chucky” White, 32, a resident of York Bush, Mount Carey, St. James, Jamaica.

Detectives in St Ann, Jamaica have arrested a suspect wanted for a fatal gun attack along Freeman Lane in St. Andrew earlier this year.

The authorities have identified the suspect as Andre ‘Biggs’ Brown, 21, from Fitzgerald Avenue in Kingston 13.

Detectives from Hunts Bay CIB in St Andrew have charged Brown with murder, and possession of a prohibited weapon. Also, they charged him with unauthorized possession of ammunition, and using a firearm to commit a felony.

The charges stem from the killing of 26-year-old Tyrick Peart of Bertram Lane, Kingston 13. The incident occurred on Sunday, March 1, along Freeman Lane in the St Andrew.

The Hunts Bay police said , at approximately 9:00 p.m., Brown, allegedly armed with a firearm and accompanied by other men, confronted Peart and opened fire.

After the shooting ended, residents found Peart with multiple gunshot wounds. They rushed him to the hospital, where a doctor pronounced him dead.

The Hunts Bay Police launched an investigation into the incident and placed Brown on their wanted list.

So, on Monday May 18, cops in St Ann arrested Brown during an operation.

Then, detectives subsequently charged him based on recorded statements and a question-and-answer session. His court appearance date is pending

Detectives charged a suspect with shooting of a father and his six-year-old son in St James

Detectives in St James have charged a suspect with the shooting of a father and his s six-year-old son. The shooting took place earlier this year in Mount Carey.

Detectives identified the suspect as Leroy “Chucky” White, 32, a resident of York Bush, Mount Carey, St. James, Jamaica. He faces two counts of wounding with intent and using a firearm to commit a felony.

The shooting occurred at approximately 8:35 a.m. on Monday, March 16, near a bar along the Mount Carey main road, according to a police statement issued on Thursday.

Reports indicate that armed individuals opened fire in the area. After the shooting stopped, residents found a father and his son with gunshot wounds.

Law enforcement officers responded and transported the victims to the hospital for treatment.

The St. James Criminal Investigation Branch began an investigation into the incident. And after a three-month inquiry, detectives arrested White on June 14.

Detectives charged White on Tuesday, June 16 following an identification parade and an interview in the presence of his attorney.

White’s court appearance date is pending.
