Suspects Sought in Mandeville Market Gun Attack

Police released the identities of the two victims who died tragically in the gun attack at the Mandeville Market. The brutal shooting occurred on Friday morning.

Seven individuals sustained gunshot wounds during the gun attack, which transpired shortly after 10 a.m. at the entrance to the Mandeville market.

Law enforcement have formally identified the deceased. They are Melissa Merchant, 30, a practical nurse from Warrick district. And Andre Bradford, o/c ‘Prenge Boy, from Royal Flat district.

The remaining victims of the gun attack have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

According to investigators, Mr. Bradford was specifically targeted by the assailants, with stray bullets striking others as he was pursued.

This violent act unfolded during a peace march, organized by Albion Primary School. The march aimed at addressing the rising tide of crime and gun attacks in Manchester.

Authorities have initiated a manhunt for two suspects believed to be involved in the senseless gun attack.

Mandeville’s Mayor, Donovan Mitchell, has strongly condemned the barbaric gun attack.

During his visit to the hospitalized victims, Mayor Mitchell shared that he was participating in the peace march. He said he was saddened by the news of the shooting gun attack.

He disclosed that two of the injured individuals were treated and released. Two others have undergone diagnostic tests, and one person remains in the hospital.

Mayor Mitchell appealed to witnesses to cooperate with law enforcement in identifying the assailants involved in the gun attack.

“Please come forth with any information you may have. This could easily affect anyone in our community. The young lady was simply attending to her business in the market. And one of the gentlemen was across the street in a syrup shop. We are all vulnerable,” he cautioned.

According to police officials in St James, Jamaica, hospital officials admitted a police constable in critical condition. A Toyota Probox motorcar reportedly hit the constable. The police have launched a search for the driver of the Probox.

Sources said the hit-and-run unfolded at approximately 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The constable assigned to the Granville Police Station was struck by the vehicle while on duty in the Granville community.

Head of the St James police, Superintendent Eron Samuels, says the constable was thrown over a nearby precipice. And he is suffering multiple injuries.

Samuels says the driver fled the scene right after the hit-and-run.

The police constable was rushed to hospital, where he is receiving treatment. He is unresponsive, as doctors assess his condition.

Police officials appealed to anyone with information about the incident of the gun attack to come forth and help in the investigation.

Fatal Gun Attack Incident in Falmouth.

TRELAWNY, Jamaica – An unidentified male individual was shot and killed by assailants in a gun attack in Falmouth, Trelawny, on Thursday night.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed.

According to police reports, the victim was described as having short dreadlocks. He wore a pink sweater, blue denim shorts, and red and white slippers.

Local residents in Race Course, Falmouth, reported hearing loud gunfire around 8:50 p.m. and subsequently alerted the police. Upon their arrival, authorities found the man lying on the roadway with a single gunshot wound from the gun attack.

The body has since been transported to a medical facility.

The Falmouth police are conducting an investigation into the gun attack incident.
