Police Charge Stony Hill Woman with Larceny and Fraud. The police charged a woman who previously worked as an assistant manager at a St Andrew’s business. She allegedly misappropriated more than $3.5 million from her employer and failed to return the funds. It’s a situation that certainly raises important questions about trust and accountability.

Authorities identified the suspect as Mischel Howard, 52, of Stony Hill, St Andrew. The police charged her with larceny as a servant and obtaining credit by fraud.

The Constant Spring police stated that the business owner found several discrepancies in the company’s accounts and confronted Howard. And Howard allegedly admitted to stealing the funds.

As a result, the business owner allegedly made arrangements for Howard to repay the money. However, she failed t do so, prompting the business owner to report the matter to the police.

The police took Howard into custody and charged her after a question-and-answer session conducted in the presence of her attorney.

Investigators have scheduled her to appear in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Thursday, June 18.

Police officers in St. James have charged two men with involvement in a criminal organization. The charge stems from several incidents of criminal activity that occurred in Hanover, St. James, Trelawny, and Manchester between June and September 2025.

Investigators identified the accused as Richard Dennie, 43, of Dome Lane in St James, Jamaica. And Tyrone ‘Alex’, Murray, 23, a construction worker of Johns Hall, St James.

The authorities said Dennie and Murray had been the subject of ongoing investigations.

Further, investigators alleged that the accused are responsible for several crimes, including robberies, shootings, and larcenies.

Law enforcement officers apprehended both men during a targeted operation and charged them after a question-and-answer session in the presence of their attorney.

The police have yet to finalize a court appearance date for the accused.
