Surveillance videos helped police identify a St. Ann robber.

ST ANN, Jamaica – On Wednesday, September 13, 2023, detectives in St. Ann charged a suspect with two counts of robbery after allegedly being caught on surveillance video committing two robberies on different days in Ocho Rios, St. Ann.

The police charged Tray Donovan, 24, o/c ‘Tallman’ and ‘Titibull,’ from Pimento Walk in Ocho Rios, with two separate counts of robbery with aggravation, possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorized possession of ammunition and using a firearm to commit a felony.

The police have not given a court date for the accused man.

According to the police, on September 3 and 4, 2023, men armed with guns went to Milford Road and Great Pond and committed the robberies.

The police said surveillance cameras recorded the robbers, and Donovan was among them. 

The police subsequently arrested Donovan. And he gave a caution statement admitting guilt. 

Donovan’s court date is pending.

Police charged the suspect accused of stabbing a man to death during a bar dispute.

ST ANDREW, Jamaica – Stony Hill police finally charged the suspect who stabbed a tiler to death during a dispute at a bar in Stony Hill, St. Andrew, in August 2023.

The police charged Market Barrett, age 43, a mason of Airy Castle, Stony Hill, St Andrew, with murder. 

The police identified the deceased as 34-year-old Bryan Morris, a late tiler of the Golden Spring district in Stony Hill, St Andrew.

According to the indictment, at about 11:45 p.m., on the day in question, both men were at a bar when an argument developed between them. During the altercation, Barrett allegedly stabbed Morris multiple times.

Morris died at the hospital.

On Tuesday, September 5, 2023, the police arrested Barrett. The police charged him after a question-and-answer session.

His court appearance date is pending.

Police charged a Tivoli man accused of shooting a woman in Tivoli Gardens. 

KINGSTON, Jamaica – On Wednesday, September 13, 2023, Kingston Western detectives charged a suspect allegedly accused of shooting a woman in her torso in his Tivoli Gardens community in Kingston in August.

The police charged Desbert Bougle o/c, ‘Marvin,’ age 36, of Dreckettes Place, Tivoli Gardens in Kingston. with shooting with intent, possession of a 

prohibited weapon, unauthorized possession of ammunition, and using a firearm to commit a felony. 

According to the police, at about 1:00 a.m., residents heard an explosion coming from the complainant’s house on the day in question and alerted the police.

Upon arrival, the police found the woman inside a room with a gunshot wound to the torso.

The police transported the victim to the hospital, where the authorities admitted her in critical condition.

On Monday, September 11, 2023, Bougle turned himself over to the police.

The police charged him on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, wit after a question-and-answer session.

His court appearance date is pending.
