ST ANDREW, Jamaica -According to the police, on Thursday afternoon, June 8, 2023, unknown assailants gunned down a man and injured a woman as they worked at a house on Boone Hall Road, Stony Hill, St Andrew.
Police identified the deceased as Ricardo Johnson, o/c ‘Lizzard,’ age 30, late resident of Cavaliers, St Andrew. The police said the injured woman is 54 years old.
According to preliminary reports, at about 3:20 pm, Johnson and the woman were working inside a concrete structure at a house when two men brandishing handguns entered the premises and opened fire, hitting Johnson multiple times. The police said the thugs shot the woman in her left eye and the right side of her face. After the shooting, the gunmen escape on foot.
Residents alerted the police. And upon the arrival of the police, the law enforcement officers found Johnson’s lifeless body lying in blood. A good Samaritan motorist assisted the injured woman to the hospital, and the authorities admitted her in stable condition.
The police did not establish a motive for the shooting.
The police placed two of their own in custody for allegedly rob $14 million from Chinese wholesalers.
KINGSTON, Jamaica – According to the Police High Command, the police have arrested two of their own kind concerning the multi-million dollar robbery of a Chinese wholesaler in Kingston on Tuesday June 6, 2023.
According to information two Chinese nationals were visited at their place of business by five men. Two of the men identified themselves as police officers, and presented a document they said was a search warrant from the Constant Spring Police to forfeit uncustomed goods.
The complainant said the men took $8.5 million, plus US$40,000, and an iphone 14.
The complainant would report the incident to the police. The police launched an investigation, and subsequently picked up the two officers for interogation.
