The Police High Command reported that on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, St James Narco police arrested an American flight attendant at the Sangster International Airport, Montego Bay, St James, for breaches of the dangerous drugs act. The police said the woman is 47 years old.
According to the release, at about 12:30 pm, the woman was about to board a flight bound for New York. And during routine security checks, agents found 1 1/2 kilograms of cocaine in her luggage.
The police placed her into custody and withheld her name pending further investigations.
The police estimated the value of the illicit drug at approximately $14.5 million.
The investigation continues.
Cops seek assistance to ID a decomposing body found in Chantilly District, Westmoreland.
The Westmoreland police renewed their appeal to locate relatives of a female whose decomposing body the police found in the Chantilly district on June 1.
Here is how the police described the body:
“Approximately 168 centimeters (5 feet 6 inches) long and clad in a blue blouse, black and red hooded jacket, and blue jeans shorts. It has several tattoos, including three stars on the right side of the face, footprints on its chest, and ‘Alecia’ on the right shoulder.”
According to the Savanna-la-Mar police, residents in the Chantilly community discovered the body and alerted the police. Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement officers found the body lying face down in a drain. The police processed the scene and removed the body to the morgue pending a post-mortem.
Gum shoes attached to the Savanna-la-mar police appealed to anyone who could identify the body to contact the Savanna-la-Mar police Criminal Investigations Branch at 876-955-2758, the police 119 emergency number, or the nearest police station.

According to the Manchioneal Police, at about 4:20 pm, law enforcement officers conducted an operation along the Hectors River main road, during which they signaled a motorist to stop. The motorist obeyed but alighted from the vehicle, tossed a box, and ran. The police retrieved and searched the box. During the search, they found the firearm and ammunition.
The police did not make an arrest. However, an investigation is in progress.
