Taxi Driver Faces Prison After Distributing Nude Pictures of a Woman. Police in St Catherine, Jamaica, charged a Taxi driver with malicious communication under the Cybercrime Act. Investigators accused him of using his smartphone to distribute nude images of a woman over the internet.
Law enforcement identified the accused as Alfred Kelly, 61, of Eltham Park, St. Catherine. Detectives from the St. Catherine North Criminal Investigation Branch charged him in connection with two incidents in June.
According to the police, on June 21 and June 25, Kelly used his cell phone to distribute nude photographs and videos of the complainant. He also reportedly distributed degrading voice messages about her.
The woman reported the incidents and later pointed out Kelly to the police.
As a result, investigators arrested and charged Kelly. His court appearance date is pending.
Taxi driver accused of chopping housemate with machete
The Morant Bay Police in Jamaica have charged a cab driver with wounding with intent. The charge is in connection with an incident that occurred in Bamboo River, Morant Bay, St. Thomas, on July 14.
Authorities identified the accused as Floyd Miller, also known as ‘Tev’ and ‘Indian’. He is 45 and resides in Bamboo River, Morant Bay, St. Thomas.
According to the police, at approximately 8:15 a.m., the taxi driver and his housemate got into a verbal altercation.
During the dispute, Miller allegedly armed himself with a machete and attacked his housemate, inflicting multiple injuries.
The police responded and transported the injured man to the hospital, where the authorities admitted him.
Following an investigation into the incident, the police issued a court order for the arrest of the taxi driver. They arrested and charged him on July 15.
The arresting officer scheduled Miller to come before the St. Thomas Parish Court on July 25, 2025
