Law enforcement identified the accused as Antony Berry, o/c ‘Zeeks,’ 32, barber, and Tamara Downer, o/c’ Mummy,’ 26, cosmetologist. Both live in the Bailey’s Vale district of St. Mary.

The Port Maria police in St. Mary, Jamaica, stated that in June of 2023, the couple invited a teenager to their home. They asked the teenager to babysit their child.

While at the house, Berry and Downer allegedly held the teen against her will for two extra days. During this time, she accused Berry of sexually assaulting her multiple times.

The child stated that Downer did not join in the sexual assault on her. But she was in the room and did not intervene. Instead, she allegedly encouraged Berry to continue his actions.

On the third day of the complainant’s confinement, Downer reportedly fed her, after which the child lost consciousness.

When the complainant woke up, she was on a beach in a different parish and contacted her mother.

The mother accompanied the child to the police station, in St. Mary, Jamaica, where they filed a criminal report.

The police launched an investigation. On June 1, 2025, investigators arrested the couple during an operation.

Their court appearance date is pending.

In Annotto Bay, St. Mary, Jamaica, the police have arrested 43-year-old Tavia Whitely. On Wednesday, June 11, 2025, she allegedly attempted to smuggle contraband into the Annotto Bay police lock-up.

Law enforcement charged Whitely, a businesswoman of Annotto Bay, St. Mary, Jamaica, with introducing prohibited articles into a police lock-up. She was also charged with possession of ganja.

The breach occurred at about 2:30 p.m. when the accused brought food to the lock-up for a prisoner.

Cops on station guard duty searched the food containers and found packages containing contraband.

The items include an alcoholic beverage, vegetable matter resembling ganja, smoking paraphernalia, and a battery-operated device.

Law enforcement at the Annotto Bay police station denied the accused bail at the station. Her court appearance date is pending.
